Small Market Sales Training--Helping Administrators Reach Out to their Communities

Lockwood Marketing conducted a special group training on January 15, 2008 in Mascoutah, Illinois. The purpose of the training was to help small market Assisted Living Administrators make the best use of their limited marketing resources to improve occupancy.

In small markets (population less than 15000), it is critical to establish the Assisted Living as a vibrant contributor to the success of the community and its citizens. Administrators must be aware of their role as "the face of their business" and make sure that every interaction with visitors, family members and other business owners reflects positively on their community.

Small market administrators face difficult challenges, however, in managing their time and constantly shifting their focus from resident care to family concerns to new occupancy. The Lockwood training helps administrators see that those competing interests are both interconnected and mutually supportive. In addition, the training helps administrators understand the importance of personal selling and taking responsibility for creating high occupancy in their building.

Lockwood Marketing will be scheduling additional training sessions covering this important topic, as the January session was fully booked.
