How to Get More Google Reviews (Without Being Awkward)
Reviews help you rank in Google Maps and convince people to call you instead of the next company. Most happy customers are glad to leave one. They just need to be asked at the right time, in the right way.

Ask at the right moment
The best time to ask is right after the job is done and the customer is happy, like when they're admiring the finished work or thanking your tech. Waiting weeks means fewer reviews.
Make it one tap
Get your direct Google review link from your Business Profile and send it by text right after the job. The fewer steps, the more reviews you'll get.
Use a simple script
Something like: "Thanks so much for choosing us! If you were happy with the work, a quick Google review really helps a small business like ours. Here's the link." Short, honest, and personal works best.
Follow Google's rules
- Don't offer discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews
- Don't only ask customers you think will leave 5 stars ("review gating")
- Never write fake reviews or have friends and employees review you
Breaking these rules can get reviews removed or your profile suspended.
Reply to every review
Thank people for positive reviews, and respond calmly and professionally to negative ones. Future customers read your replies, and a thoughtful response to a bad review can build more trust than a perfect score.
